Your choice

When you first arrive we ask what you allow. You can accept everything, allow only what is strictly necessary, or choose category by category. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you make that choice.

You can change your mind whenever you like using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing that will make the site ask you again on your next visit.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we treat that as opting out of advertising cookies without you having to do anything else.

What we use, by category

Strictly necessary

These make the site work. They cannot be switched off and they do not require your consent.

Name	Purpose	Duration	Set by
Cookie consent record	Remembers the choice you made, so we do not ask again on every page	1 year	Maxed
Session identifier	Keeps the site working correctly while you move between pages	Until you close your browser	Maxed
Security token	Protects forms against cross-site request forgery	Until you close your browser	Maxed

Analytics

These tell us how the site is used, which pages people read, and where visitors come from. We use this to improve the site. You can decline them.

Name	Purpose	Duration	Set by
_ga	Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted	2 years	Google Analytics 4
_ga_[container ID]	Keeps session state for Google Analytics 4	2 years	Google Analytics 4

MUID	Recognizes a browser across Microsoft sites and services	1 year	Microsoft

Microsoft Clarity also records how you move through a page, including scrolling and clicks, so we can see where the site is confusing. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not recorded.

Advertising

These let us measure whether our advertising works and show relevant ads to people who have visited the site. You can decline them.

Name	Purpose	Duration	Set by
_fbp	Identifies a browser so Meta can measure ad performance and show relevant ads	3 months	Meta
fr	Delivers and measures advertising on Meta platforms	3 months	Meta
_gcl_au	Measures which ads led to a visit or a signup	3 months	Google Ads
IDE	Shows relevant ads and measures their performance across Google properties	13 months	Google Ads
test_cookie	Checks whether your browser accepts advertising cookies at all	15 minutes	Google Ads

Under California law, allowing advertising cookies counts as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information and receive no payment for this. You can opt out using the Cookie settings link in the footer or the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, both of which control the same setting.

Who receives this information

The analytics and advertising cookies above are set by Google, Microsoft and Meta, and the information they collect goes to those companies under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they do with it after that.

A full list of the companies that handle data on our behalf is at https://maxed.amplify11.com/subprocessors.
